Charles joined the board in 2006 and was appointed board chair in 2007.  He is serving in his second three year term.  Charles co-leads a Bible Study with Mike for Simplicity Ministries® hosted in his home.

Charles is part owner of Oswego Crest Financial Group where he works as VP of Risk Management.  He assists clients with their risk management and insurance and holds the Certified Estate Adviser designation.  He served ten years and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant from the U.S. Marine Corps, where he earned multiple decorations for distinguished service.  He and his wife, Sheri, enjoy spending time with their four children - RC, Brandon, Cierra, and Joshua - and their newest family member, their Yorkie, Bentley.  In his spare time, Charles enjoys reading, working out, playing golf and cheering the NY Yankees.

Stephen K. Brock

Chief Financial Officer, Northwest Baptist Foundation - Vancouver, WA

Stephen joined the board in 2007 and was appointed treasurer that same year.  He is serving in his second three year term. 

Steve joined the Northwest Baptist Foundation as CFO in November 2003.  Steve is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and accounting.  He has been licensed as a certified public accountant in the State of Oregon since January 1982.  Prior to joining the Foundation, Steve served in an accounting manager position for another Baptist Foundation for over 10 years and worked in public accounting for 12 years.

Jim Shiner

Pastor, Faith Community Church - Ocean Shores, WA

Jim joined the board in 2007 and was appointed acting secretary in 2009.  He is serving in his first three year term.

Jim grew up near Seattle and served 6 years in the US Air Force before becoming a pastor.  He has been a pastor in the Northwest for over 15 years, serving at First Baptist Church of Monroe, and Faith Community Church in Ocean Shores.  He and his wife, Tammy, have been married for 22 years and have 5 children.  Jim enjoys travel, sports, teaching algebra, and Sudoku in his free time.
